Did You Know The World Wide Web Is Only 20 Years

Curious to know who created the first web site twenty years ago?

We can thank Tim Berners-Lee for creating the first website that went online on August 6, 1991 offering people help with using the brand new ‘World Wide Web’, rather modestly describes as ‘wide-area hypermedia information retrieval initiative aiming to give universal access to a large universe of documents”.

The first website can be found here.

The World Wide Web is truly a great place for learning, keeping in touch with old and new friends, visiting places around the world, listening to news, music and podcasts and downloading them, watching video’s and interacting with people thru social media (like Steve WozniakLeo Laporte and Danny Choo) my favorite Geek of the Geek guys. Yes, I’ve had an actual conversation with the three great Geeks and they down to earth, intelligent geeks that just want to have a normal life and share their wisdom online. Domo Arigato to ‘The Woz’, Leo and Danny.

As a Webmaster it’s not just a job it’s a passion of mine to keep learning and progressing and I hope everyone enjoys today on the web as much as I do.  Long live the Web!
