Something tells me all radio and online streaming will be busy listening to Verizon make the announcement of the iPhone tomorrow at 8am PST. iPhone 4 or iPhone 5, that is the question.
Last Friday I waited at CES in the Verizon booth to make their big announcement hoping to be one of the many to hear Verizon will be carrying the iPhone. Uh big disappointment they didn’t. Instead they announced their 4G LTE and 10 other gadgets – Apple was not mentioned. Tomorrow Verizon will AGAIN make another big announcement which will be about the iPhone and their unlimited plan . We’ll see if it’ll be better than AT&T. Will Steve Jobs be in New York tomorrow with Verizon President and COO Lowell McAdam? If so, you can imagine Steve will announce the iPhone 5. If he’s not present I’m sure the iPhone 5 won’t be announced.
Above is a sneak of what the iPhone 5 case will look like. Quite similar to the iPhone 4 minus the antennae issues. They say the Antenna issue is fixed to accommodate the CDMA signals unlike the iPhone 4 GSM signal design. This would hint towards the iPhone 5 since Verizon runs on CDMA signals.
A couple extra items so far known is there’s a SIM card slot. Could mean 2 things either it’ll be a dual GSM/CDMA which will make it a phone that can be used outside of the US or it could just mean it supports Verizon LTE.
As for the camera of the iPhone according to GlobalDirect Part’s there’s no hole in the rear for a camera. Kinda weird but maybe Apple found a better source for the camera or just doesn’t want to be like the rest of the smart phones.
Whatever the happens tomorrow I just hope some of the AT&T iPhone users will transfer over to Verizon to free up the AT&T network bandwidth. That’ll leave more space for us AT&T users to play. 🙂
